Mike Winters
Mike Winters was born and raised in the suburbs of Washington D.C. At the age of 23, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He was stationed at Holloman AFB in Alamogordo, NM. While there, he served as a bomb loader on the F117A Stealth Fighters. He was sent on deployments to Kuwait for 3 months in 1998, and Italy for 5 months in 1999.
Mike began his career in radio at KEND, The Mix 106. He was the host of the Mix Morning Show with Mike Winters. Mike also was in charge of programming and just about anything else that needed to get done. When KEND was purchased by Pecos Valley Broadcasting, Mike came onboard to host the KSVP morning show. Mike is happily married to his lovely wife Kim, who is an elementary school teacher in Roswell. He enjoys reading, and is a Civil War buff. Mike is an avid Washington Redskins fan and is now beginning to take up golf. So if you are on the course, beware, he’s not that good and possibly dangerous! |
