Gov. appoints Copeland as Aging and Long-Term Services secretary

The governor has named Myles Copeland the cabinet secretary for the New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department. Copeland has served as the department’s deputy secretary for two years. Among other things, he has worked with issues relating to Alzheimer’s disease. Myles replaces Gino Rinaldi, who has held this post for two years.

The stalemate between a contractor and employees continues at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia. Fifty workers went on strike last week after Omni did not sign a new collective bargaining agreement. These workers include groundskeepers and maintenance staff. Roswell volunteer greatly committed to wildlife refuge

Jim Montgomery has volunteered over 15,000 hours over the last three decades for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Bitter Lane National Wildlife Refuge.
